The thing that is so uplifting about being the birthday person or pupper, is that it is a moment to be celebrated for who you are and nothing more. A moment which denotes that your existence is more than enough to appease and please the people around you and that you are deserving of all the good in the world around you. It serves to instill a sense of pride in your soul that you deserve to carry with you wherever you go in life. So take a moment and try and breathe some of that pride into yourself.

We have heard it being said that with time and age each birthday begins to become a little less special than the one before it. But at some point the opposite becomes true as you (hopefully) begin to defy all expectations of longevity. Which is pretty much what we would have expected from a seventeen year old pupper who looks super healthy for their incredibly old age. Surely they are deserving of more than just a meager cup cake and a cheap printed number 17? We would have at least hoped for a hat, a banner and maybe even some sparklers.
